Rodney Cox (1967-2025)

It is with great sadness that the family of Rodney Dale Cox, 58, announces his passing. Rodney went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2025 at Providence Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska. He was born January 26, 1967 in Crowell, Texas to Boyce and Glenda Cox (Walker). He graduated from Crowell High School in 1985 and attended Angelo State University where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Real Estate. After graduation, he worked for 8 years at the Dallas Central Appraisal District.

In 1993, Rodney married his former wife, Carolina De Los Santos, with whom he had three children. He then operated a restoration business with his brother before moving to Florida to do insurance claims adjusting. Rodney was a lifelong Christian, attending Lakeside Church in Oakland, Florida. In 2021, Rodney began restoring an unfinished cabin in Kenny Lake, Alaska, before retiring there fully in 2022. Throughout his life, Rodney enjoyed riding his motorcycles, going to rock concerts, hunting and fishing with his kids, and spending time with his family and friends. In Alaska, he fulfilled his dream of homesteading, and continued to hunt and fish.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Cory, Faith, and Hunter; the mother of his children, Carolina; mother, Glenda; brother, Tim; partner of 8 years, Shanna; and their beloved dog, Tillie. He is preceded in death by his father, Boyce, and brother, Anthony. Memorial services will be held during the summer to allow the family to conduct services in both Alaska and Texas.
